The Pox, The Girls, and The Ankle

OK, so first things first, Caleb is doing great at home.  He is having a lot of fun with the kids and the kids are having a lot of fun with him.  He has fit right into the family with little to no issues as of yet.  It is ONLY day two, but things are looking good!  The two issues I was most concerned about, his adjustment as a five year old and the communication gap, have been non-issues so far.  Here, Luke and Caleb watch a movie on the computer together.  I’m THINKING the movie is in Chinese, so I’m not really sure what Luke is getting out of it …

Here is a nice close up of Luke’s chicken pox.  How sad is this shot?

While Luke stayed home with Zach and Jake on Sunday morning, the rest of us headed to church for Mother’s Day!  Here are my two girls, all outfitted in the dresses that Brittany bought while in China.  Are they pretty or what?

And, after a busy mother’s day, here is what Kelly’s foot looked like!

OUCH!  I took her to the Orthopod this afternoon and he says it is a really, really bad sprain.  He gave her a boot to wear for the next three weeks and then she is supposed to come back in for him to evaluate her and decide if she needs to do any physical training.  Funny, he didn’t put any special herbs or potions on it?  What is up with that???

  1. I bet it cost you more than 150RMB though. That ankle made us all kringe. It’s a miracle she made it home without passing out from swelling and pain. I guess Caleb’s okay on the chicken pox since he had that vaccination huh? Ha, ha!!!
